Oh damn! What a day and...
'WHAT A DUMP!' Gotta love Bette Davis.
My house looks like a city dump. I am certainly NOT a domestic goddess. I hate housework more than eating dirt. I think I just plain HATE Mondays. Don't know why, I'm retired and don't have to trek to a job. Maybe it's just hangover from those glorious days when I did tromp to a job everyday.
Some jerk-guy gave me the bird this morning because he flew in front of me on the xpressway and I blew at him. Yeah right turd head....I was in the wrong. Some people need courtesy lessons.
I must say I was disappointed to hear that ALL MY CHILDREN (sob soap opera) was going off the air. I used to watch it faithfully when the world was young and I was younger. I grew up with Erica Kane. I haven't been interested in or watched soaps for years but I did like 'her evilness'. She's the only person I know who was married more times than Elizabeth Taylor...Sorry Liz, I couldn't resist that one. May you rest in peace. You were always my favorite actress.
I watched an old old episode of BACHELOR FATHER this morning around 4:00 am. I had to laugh, not because it was black and white tv or because it was 'family oriented' (rather than all the REALITY crap on tv now) but because it showed what society thought and how it acted 'back then'. Peter Tong, the houseboy (you couldn't call him that today or you would have the Asian branch of the ACLU down your throat) to Mr. Gregg, brought home a sweet little orphaned Asian girl he won in a card game from his chiseling cousin. He wanted to adopt her but the Adoption Agency said no because a child....'needs a mother and father' and Peter was single.
Boy, how times have changed. What ever happened to the BEAVER, MAYBERRY, FATHER KNOWS BEST and MY THREE SONS? God.....how I miss those kind of shows. How I miss decency on tv. Maybe that's why I barely watch it all anymore.
(sigh)
